Valdevaqueros Beach is located about 10 km northwest of Tarifa and is one of Europe’s most famous kitesurfing and windsurfing spots. The wide sandy bay, with its iconic dune at Punta Paloma, offers plenty of space both on the beach and on the water. Thanks to the mix of Levante (strong easterly wind) and Poniente (steady westerly wind), conditions are excellent almost year-round. Levante brings strong, choppy conditions for advanced riders, while Poniente is usually moderate and ideal for long sessions. The beach is home to Tarifa Spin Out, a watersports center founded in 1988 that offers lessons and rentals for kitesurfing, windsurfing, wingfoiling and SUP. The vibe is sporty and international, with a lively community and solid facilities right by the shore.
At Valdevaqueros Beach there is a large sandy car park right behind the beach, next to the Spin Out watersports center. It is easily accessible via the N-340 road (km 75.5). During peak season it can get crowded around midday, so it’s best to arrive early. Alternatively, you can park along the access road.
