Little Bay sits just south of Big Bay in the neighborhood of Bloubergstrand, roughly 20 km north of Cape Town’s city center. This small, tranquil cove is largely undeveloped and favored for picnicking, casual outings, and family-friendly beach days. A grassy area behind the beach features braai spots (barbecue areas), and nearby rocky pools invite exploration. Surfable waves are small and inconsistent—surfing is rare, and kiteboarding or windsurfing activity is minimal. Little Bay is valued for its peaceful vibe and natural charm compared with the busier Blouberg spots.
At Little Bay Beach there is a public car park directly behind the beach, accessible via Otto du Plessis Drive (M14). The parking area is paved and provides immediate access to the beach. Additional spaces can be found along nearby side streets. Parking is free of charge, but can fill up quickly during peak season or on windy kite days. From the car park it’s only a short walk to the water.
